Pastor Cynthia Currie is a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Pastor Currie was ordained as a minister in 2005, and in December 2009, she was installed as the Associate Pastor of Uplift Outreach Ministries. Pastor Currie served 14 years in various departments in Uplift Outreach Ministries before being installed as Pastor on July 7, 2024.

Pastor Currie holds a Business Administration degree from Durham Technical Community College.  She is employed with Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools as a teacher assistant for over 15 years, teaching and nurturing “Children with Special Needs.“ Pastor Currie is the wife of Pastor Cleveland Currie, the mother of two sons: Gequinton and Damien Currie. She resides in Carrboro, North Carolina.
