Apostle Hilda Stephens-Antoine
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Apostle Hilda Stephens-Antoine is a distinguished visionary, mentor, Christian leader, and prolific author with 40 years of Ministry experience. Apostle Stephens is a native of North Carolina.
Apostle Stephens is a 2008 graduate of Ashworth University with an Associate Science degree in Psychology and a Creative Writing diploma from the same University. She continued her education with Ashworth University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2016. Apostle Stephens also holds a Certification in Christian and Marriage Counseling.
On January 18, 1983, Apostle Stephens was a Co-founder of Words of Truth Church located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, under the late Bishop Robert J. Streater. The church relocated to Chester, Pennsylvania, on July 1, 1987, where Apostle Stephens attended Bible classes and graduated with honors.
Apostle Stephens preached her initial sermon on February 3, 1992, and was licensed as an Evangelist. She presided over the Women’s Fellowship Outreach, a Coalition with Ministries from Wilmington, Delaware to Atlanta City, New Jersey, sponsoring revivals and youth ministries for 10 years.
From 1995 to 2002, Apostle Stephens served in ministry as Evangelist Stephens, teaching weekly Bible study, sponsoring the Women’s Fellowship, and other capacities at Love Ministries Church under the leadership of Pastor Jacques Thigpen in Chapel Hill and Hillsborough, North Carolina.
Apostle Stephens became the Founder and Pastor of Uplift Outreach Ministries on March 10, 2002. After having an encounter with the Lord seven years earlier, the Lord revealed that she would do great things at the Chapel, formerly the Community Church. She received a Certificate of Commission and was installed as an Apostle on May 15, 2005, under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Annyebelle Neal, Living the Word with Boldness Ministry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Apostle Stephens held the following positions: Manager at Undergraduate Admissions, Receptionist with Wilson Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Receptionist with Child Support Enforcement and Data Processing in Raleigh, North Carolina. She retired from the State of North Carolina with 30 years of state service.
Apostle Stephens also worked at QCV Network in West Chester, Pennsylvania; The Franklin Mint and Media in Pennsylvania; Light of the Darkness in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and as a foster parent and caretaker for over 40 children.
Other key roles Apostle Stephens served in: the community Back-to-School Program for 15 years, Table Food Program, Light in the Darkness Awareness, Lifting Loft Clothing Ministry, where she is the Executive Director, and Praise on the Lawn Music Community Fest. She is dedicated to serving the ministry, her congregation, and the community.
Apostle Stephens is a published author of God, is This My Man, a seven-book series, and her new memoir, published November 9, 2020, called “Secrets.” She served for one year as a TV host on the People Channel, four years as host of Keeping You Lifted TV show, which aired on the 2nd Monday on Facebook and YouTube, and is an entrepreneur of Ann’s Handbag Collection.
Apostle Stephens is married to Anthony Antoine. She has one daughter, Latesha, son-in-law, Terrance, and is affectionately known as Teal by her grandchildren, MonTerris and Shayla, and in loving memory of grandson, Jahvon.
